AHA Inc., bestows two biennial awards (awarded at our notional conference which occurs every other year):
- The Barbara Heine Award for AHA Inc., Hippotherapy Horse of the Year
- The Barbara Glasow Award for AHA Inc., Therapist of the Year
These awards recognize the excellence of individual horses and therapists in all aspects of therapy.

The extended deadline for the 2013 awards is September 14th, 2012 and Award recipients will be announced and presented at the 2013 AHA Conference to be held in St Louis, Missouri in the spring of 2013.
